The role of discretion and organizational constraints in felony sentencing and in the implementation of sentencing reforms; causal linkages between structural characteristics (race; social class)and delinquency; effects of schools, as social contexts, on social process that cause delinquency; racial disparities in criminal and juvenile justice, and the effects of community context.
