Research Interests:
Dr. Fitzpatrick’s research continues to examine issues related to homelessness and adolescent risk-taking behavior. As the Jones Chair, his service to the Jones Center for Families and as a board member of the Seven Hills Homeless Shelter, the Northwest Arkansas Housing Coalition, and Task Force on Health Gaps in the Marshallese Community reflect an ongoing interest in the problems of homelessness, mental health and broad family and community issues both locally and nationally. As director of the Community and Family Institute, he is currently working on a project funded by the United Way of Northwest Arkansas to support an ongoing homelessness initiative in the region.
