Sociology BA Options and Sociology Minor
Sociology examines the structures and processes underlying human societies. Sociology students scientifically study institutional changes to learn bout family structures, organizations, cities, population changes, work, crime, inequality, and other topics related to humans living in groups.
Sociology MA
A recent national survey of Master's Programs rated our program one of the best in the nation. The U of A Sociology Master's Program has an exceptionally strong graduate faculy and a student to faculty ratio of four to one, permitting more individual interaction toward attaining the student's goal. The Master's program enjoys a close association with the Center for Social Research , the Survey Research Center, and the Community-Family Institute, strengthening the research focus.
Criminal Justice BA
The Criminal Justice Program provides education in the complexities of human behavior and the problems of interpersonal relations in an increasingly urbanized America. The program encourages contributions to the development and implementation of a fair and effective criminal justice system in America.
